Description
The Electronic Warfare Systems product line has an exciting new opportunity for a highly skilled Systems Architect. We have positions in our Goleta, California, El Segundo, California, McKinney, Texas and Fort Wayne, Indiana office locations.

The System Architect (SA) will be responsible for the planning, development, validation and communication of the architecture on a pursuit, program, IRaD or other business investment (hereafter referred to as “engagement”). System Architects will be responsible for producing the following artifacts:
Technical Baseline List System Architecture Tailoring and Justification
System Architecture Plan
System Architecture
System Architecture Review Package
System Requirements Traceability
Architecture Summaries
Product Family Architecture Updates

Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
  • Evaluates enterprise needs for the architecture
  • Plans, tailors and documents architecting tasks to be performed
  • Supports the development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the architecting effort
  • Evaluates and applies product family behavior/reuse to the engagement as appropriate
  • Analyzes all relevant aspects of the business and/or mission to be served by the engagement’s system solution
  • Documents and communicates the business/mission architecture to the appropriate engagement teams
  • Develops a functional architecture that decomposes the business and/or mission architecture into logical constructs that can be supplied by technical solutions
  • Identifies and evaluates technical architecture alternatives in support of business/mission/functional architecture needs
  • Documents and communicates the selected technical architecture to the appropriate engagement teams
  • Traces system requirements to elements of the technical architecture
  • Participates in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation to technical architecture elements
  • Participates in engagement design development and reviews to ensure alignment with the system architecture
  • Updates and manages the Mission/Business/Functional/Technical Architecture through the program lifecycle
  • Supports deep dives of pursuit and program technical baselines as requested
  • Provides architecture oversight and guidance for personnel on the architecture team
  • Provides engagement architecture summaries to engineering leadership
  • Briefs architecture content at System Architecture Review Boards
  • Coordinate with architecture and requirement teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance.
  • Lead MBSE strategies and implementations on programs for artifact generation.
  • Implementation and enforcement of model governance at all levels of the architecture.
  • Collaborate across multiple integrated product teams for the development of reusable reference models for the product line.
  • Technical leadership in the definition and execution of model integration tools and methodologies.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years related system engineering experience in EW or Radar programs including prior leadership experience.
  • Knowledgeable of Model Based Systems Engineering experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present data and explain results to subcontractor, senior level executives and customers.
  • Prior leadership and team building experience with cross product/discipline teams.
  • Experience with DoDAF (or equivalent) standards and methods,
  • Must Have Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Occasional business travel is required.
  • U.S. Person is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody and DOORS.
  • Knowledge of Open Systems Architectures, DevSecOps, and Agile Framework Product Development.
  • OCSMP and/or OCUP certification.
  • Experience with generating Digital Threads across entire product development life cycle
  • Able to develop near- and long-term plans to align with strategy and technology roadmaps.
  • Top Secret security clearance and Special Access - SAP/SAR

Required Education (including major):
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
Desired Education (including major):
Master’s / Ph.D degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
