This role will be embedded within our Huntsville operation as part of our Receiving and Inventory Management Team to support a state of the art factory which delivers some of the most advanced and strategic missiles to the fleet.

Job Summary:
RMD is hiring a Logistics Specialist at the Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility (RRMIF) in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is part of the team responsible for Inventory Management from receipt through outbound shipment to our customer, focused on process execution that drive the physical and systematic accuracy of our inventory system. This individual will work with teams onsite at the RRMIF as well as other locations with logistics processes including engineering locations and 3PLs that support our local business. This team works in coordination with Production Control and Factory leadership in order to ensure material is accurately represented and available for our factory to integrate.



Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Validating material at receipt and processing PRISM transactions to bring both production and Government Furnished Material to record.
  • Validating material moving from the factory to our storage locations for accuracy and supporting system updates to ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Physical Validation of material (cycle counting) in our warehouses, magazines, engineering areas and other sites to support property system requirements.
  • Processing small package shipments for shipments as well as movement to our 3PL providers.
  • Verification of material and kits coming in from 3PLs to ensure accuracy and perfect flow into the factory.
  • Other daily routines that support inventory tracking to support factory processes and compliance requirements.
Qualifications you Must Have:
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience within Logistics or material management funtions
  • Qualifications You Must Have:
    Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operation or related fields.
  • Experience working with compliance or similar auditing environments
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • A CSCP, CTLD or comparable Supply Chain professional certification will be required within the first year of hire
Qualifications we Value:
  • Strong personnel leadership achievement in a collaborative, cross-functional, matrix environment
  • Experience working with ITAR, Defense Security Services (DSS) regulations or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience working with hazardous materials- Class 1 compatibility rules in DoD or Defense contracting setting
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and urgent requests to ensure that RMD business needs are met
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers and team members
  • Strong compliance temperament, strategic planning skill, and understanding of forecasting requirements with ability to convert to effective direction of activity and resource allocation through high tempo, competing priorities and conflicts
  • Problem solving/decision making skills with ability to make, clearly drive, and communicate timely, effective, fact-based decisions
