This position manages a team of support level leaders in the Continuous Fire Detection (CFD) product line.  Manage, monitor, and/or oversee environmental health and safety, quality and compliance adherence, production operations, maintenance, engineering, scheduling and personnel.  Contribute and execute short and long-term operational goals.  This position is located onsite in Wilson, NC.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage supervisors and group leads in multiple cells
• Provide strong leadership to a team, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management
• Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team
• Manages through implementation, problem-solving activities and root cause and corrective action exercises
• Ensures procedures and work instructions are followed within responsible cells.
• Ensure cell level compliance with business Environmental Health & Safety practices
• Manages cost reduction and process improvement activities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
• Provides support in scheduling activities to ensure business goals are met
• Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution
• Manages Kanban stocking levels and ensures they are aligned with business objectives
• Monitors and improves department performance and productivity

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
• OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
